We ask that if your child is to be out sick, please call the school to let us know so we can be sure that he/she is safe and accounted for. Our front office staff will gladly take the message and forward it on to your child’s classroom teacher. Our school policy is that if we do not receive a phone call or note, a phone call home will be made to confirm your child's absence with you. 

One of the most difficult calls to make is the closing of school due to inclement weather. Every effort is made not to close school early because of the difficulties posed by the potential of children returning to unsupervised homes. So, if possible, could you develop an emergency plan with your child that would establish a safe place for your child to go should school be closed early? This procedure would help relieve the uncertainty for children should emergencies arise.
